The problem in Iraq is the same as the problem here. It's a failure to....
Provide Public Services, Protections, Benefits, and Rights.

These are the things the movement that calls itself conservative is sworn to destroy.

This is another thing that makes this so different from WW2, where we cared about building up such things.

Some define democracy as however they percieve the current United States to function.

Unfortunately for true democrats, most Americans use definition two making it nearly impossible to have a rational discussion in this country about democracy in another country.

4. Similar to discussions/arguments about Communism during the cold war
It's an interesting moral dilemna - - if a country legitimately votes in a government that does it and the world harm (Nazi Germany being the best example), should the United States accept that decision or oppose it?

I think that that Marshall plan was the most amazing, far sighted piece of foriegn policy that we ever had.
