It sure as heck seems like the only winners in the whole Iraq fiasco so far have been the Iranians, whose regime now will have a very friendly neighbor with similar goals. Gee, good work, GW.

Second guess would be that it would be a devastating campaign issue to divide and attack the Democrats with. That is not a compelling enough reason, though.
