Is Rush Limbaugh ashamed?

I'm the editor of a liberal blog, "Move Left."

Therefore, it's unsurprising that I find some of Rush Limbaugh's recent remarks about Cindy Sheehan offensive.

What may be surprising is that Rush Limbaugh pulled the transcript of his August 15 show from his website.

Is he ashamed of some of his smears against Cindy Sheehan?

NOTE: I wrote about Rush Limbaugh's remarks of August 15 ("FM Types") and August 16 ("It's just a joke.") As far as I know, Rush Limbaugh had the August 15 transcript taken down from his website but not the August 16 transcript. (I'm not registered at the website, and therefore can't check.)

wrong. Of course he pulled it from his website. We called him out. And we were right to do so. He made the statements to smear Cindy, but his oxycontin blurs his memory. He cannot admit he smeared her and he was wrong, so he must get rid of the evidence. Too late arsehole.

Olberman named him 'worst person of the day' for it on Friday. Olberman's blog has an entry about it.

He made him the worst again for lying about it.. the clip is on Crooks and Liars...

What was really shocking was, on the same day, he said about Cindy losing Casey, "well.. we all lose things." The man is a fucking ass. Olberman wrote a great piece about Rush on his blog.

I bet the powers that be knew slander when they saw it and forced the moran to take it off his site. Too bad there are plenty of screen captures :D

has been teaching for years ~ tell any lie and tell it often enough and it becomes the truth and it's okay.

Rush has lost 45% of his audience over the past several months. Hannity, 60%. Sorry, I don't have a link to that information, but read it yesterday.

No doubt he got slammed for his despicable comments about Cindy Sheehan, probably even by Republicans. If this was at the height of his success, he would never have pulled the comments from his site, imo.

His numbers being down, means a possible loss of money. I think his sponsors probably told him to take the transcript off his site. They must not know that the 'internets' store these things, so it was too late. His sponsors most likely heard from decent people also.

So, imo, it's about money. Not shame, the man isn't capable of shame!

The Minneapolis Star Tribune article on Rush Limbaugh's big drop in the Twin Cities didn't say how it compares to 2003.

it wouldn't surprise me if they were mirrored nationwide.

The issue is, how much of it is a normal drop for post election year.

I find it amazing that anyone, even if you are a WINGER, can not get sick of listening to someone as obnoxious as Rush or O'Reilly or Hannity. Don't you find obnoxious people, even if they are on "your side", to be incredibly tiresome? I do!
