She smacked down Nora O'D who is moderating and now Mark Williams, the wingnut from the "You Don't Speak For Me Cindy," tour. He's blathering and Coleen speaks plain truth. She pointed out that she, herself, cautioned against war before the war. And also that Williams is typical of those who stop us from having an honest debate about going to war in Iraq. He's being nothing but a loudmouth. Nora is even saying that he's out of line. This is a great segment to catch on rerun.

I don't think she was kicking ass if you view it objectively. She could have said that all of those who voted for the war were LIED TO! Mentioning the DSM as being undisputed FACT. That we helped Saddam fill those mass graves and or turned a blind eye. Also, some of those mass graves were Iraq soldiers who died during both in the Gulf War and the war with Iran. Why isn't anyone screaming this from the rooftops..and the torture.... Two words... Abu Ghraib.

I am so glad America is getting to see these nutcases that we have been seeing online for so long. He is rude, ignorant, loud, called Colleen Rowley 'listen lady' and now says she's 'flapping her jaws'. Nora O'Donnell allowed him to use his hate radio attitude on the air instead of teaching some manners, like the moron he is, by telling him to address Colleen Rowley with respect or she would have to cut his mike.

Still, it's better to let them rant and rave now, on national television. He thinks Iraq is a success because it has a Stock Market!! And he went off on the 'Saddam's woodchippers' a completely debunked story!! He came across like a lunatic, imo. I wish I had taped it so I could send it to my normal Repub. friends. They don't believe these people exist because they don't tune in to hate radio.

One good thing he told us. They don't want to be called 'pro-war'. Well, sorry Mark, but you're PRO-WAR, so live with it, you and your chickenhawk, draft-dodging administration.

Williams is dumb as a damned post but he sure didn't look to me like he was getting his ass kicked, by Ms. Rowley or anybody.

Williams succeeded by getting his talking points out: Democrats don't support our troops, Democrats don't have an alternative plan for Iraq, et cetera.

Where did Rowley refute those points? She was asked point blank by O'Donnell what the Democratic alternative was. Her response was something along the lines that "Bush is screwing up."

We've tried to win two elections with "Bush is screwing up." It doesn't work.

If we can't get better-prepared Democrats in these debates, why bother having the debates at all?

...Coleen hopped right on it. And she dealt with the wingnut when it was her time to speak. Civility isn't a weakness. Since she has to impress the voters in her home state, I think she did well. I think she appeared more like a person speaking in Congress which is where she hopes to be. She represented herself with dignity and I guess I call that kicking ass - being that I'm originally from NYC. :D
