our ESL school for adults has a July 4th program every year and our one and only freeper ( altho she seems to have turned on * lately ) is in charge of it as her pride and joy.

this year she tried to persuade one of us to wear a CLOWN outfit made of American flag material and every one of us refused. When she got to me I was horrified and said I could NEVER wear a clown suit made of a flag ; that it was illegal! Two of the other staff members chimed in and agreed. I doubt the clown suit will see the light of day again.
