I love the moniker "Traitorgate"..
....because it means the participants are "Traitorgators." It's as catchy as "plumbers" I think.

1. it works well
With the repugs trying to call us traitors, wouldn't it be nice to have the repugs branded as such for generations to come.

2. I like "Traitorgate" as well. Afterall, some Republican's being traitorous
They've wrapped themselves in the flag so long they think they can define patriotism as they go. Well, here's a good terrain to take on this misassumption. (I hope.)

3. Is 'traitorgate' being used by the media?
Or are you just pushing for it? I must admit I think something a bit more original is called for, after 30 years.

Having said that, it has a bit more of a historical precedent than all the 'irangate' etc. we had. The Tower of London has a "Traitor's Gate", through which all those accused of treason were historically brought into the Tower before imprisonment. It's a gate from the river, and coincidentally, was previously called "Water Gate".
