I have received dozens of emails with this heading: Go Home and Take Care of Your Kids. I think of all the name calling and unnecessary and untrue trashing of my character, this one offends me the most. What do the people who send me this message mean?

First of all, it offends me because it is so blatantly sexist. Would anyone think of emailing George Bush when he is out and about (now he is going on a vacation away from his vacation to make speeches in Idaho and Utah defending his killing policies), telling him to go and take care of his kids? Does anyone write to ANY man and tell him to go home and take care of his kids. I have news for all of these people, my children are adults and their dad is home to take care of them if they need any taking care of.

The second reason this command from the self-righteous right offends me is that I believe that what I am doing is for my children, and the world's children. I think that the strategy of eternal baseless war for corporate profit and greed is bad for all of our children: born and unborn. We heard a few weeks ago that Rummy said that we would be in Iraq for at least a dozen more years, and we recently heard over the weekend that the military is planning for four more years of this occupation, at least. If Rummy is correct, then Soccer Safety Mom Susie's kindergartener will be fighting and dying in the harsh sands of the Middle East and if the military is correct than NASCAR Dad Nick's middle-schooler should start boot camp now. Constant war is not a family value and George Bush's policies of wars of aggression to control natural resources do not make our country more secure...on the contrary. How are SSM Susie and ND Nick going to be able to afford to fill-up their SUV's soon? But I digress.

is that Carrie French did not have the good sense to be born into a family who provided her with a trust fund. If Carrie had been rich, like Jenna and Barbara, and well connected, she could have gone to college (any college, she's considered a legacy admission, or a hefty donation will suffice. The degree would not be strictly necessary, since Daddy's buddies would always pick up whatever expenses Carrie incurred in driving whatever business the same buddies paid for, into the ground.

Since very few Americans can provide that kind of trust fund, and rich friends, Carrie had to resort to what she saw as a means to better herself, to get an education, and to serve her country. The tragedy is that she made this decision at a time when her country was in the control of a sociopath who was willing to send her and her brothers and sisters-in-arms to fight a needless war, to further enrich their own precious offspring's trust funds.

If Bush can't face a grieving mother, it's impossible to believe that he will develop the courage required to face a father, grieving for his daughter. Bush, I can imagine, would cower at the thought of explaining to Carrie's father why he could send Carrie to die, while his own daughters party on, and why, after the sacrifice Carrie made, the end result looks to be an Iraq where members of her own sex are condemned to the status of property, since it seems to be that Iraq will end up as a country with Sharia as the rule of law.

I can appreciate the denial. Everybody assumes that all politics are dirty, but when it comes down to it, who wants to die for a lie? Yes, they can put lipstick on it and call it democracy, but it’s not. It’s another Islamic theocracy that will be so grateful for the opportunity that the US will get an oil discount. Yeah, right.

I blame the greedy incompetence of *, the portion of the US electorate that took the trouble of voting for him so queers can’t marry, the black box voting machines that took the vote of those that took the trouble of voting otherwise, the rest of the US that could not take the trouble of voting in the first place and most of all, I blame the MSM for being a compliant tool of the * mafia.

I thank a long lost God for Cindy Sheehan. She has compelled the dullards by being true to herself while coming to grips with the death of her son. She has reinvigorated those of us that thought all hope was lost. We’ll see, but the opposition protest that turned out in Salt Lack City, of all places, is very encouraging. And yet it has a dark side.

The rats have been exposed and cornered and they are going to on the offensive. That includes the rats from both mainstream parties. It will get a lot uglier before it gets better. I’m talking about the homeland, not Iraq, but that will get worse, too. The US is only there for the oil that we will never get for the price that * hoped to pay. * may have thought that the lives of Casey Sheehan and others were small change.

Cindy Sheehan reminds us that their lives were priceless and of what democracy is all about. Respect.
