Are there any counts for Camp Casey?
I haven't seen any numbers relating to how many anti-war folks are at Camp Casey, but I have seen there are 150 people at the counter-camp. Anyone have any numbers for CC?

Also, Cindy did a great job responding to an email she received telling her to "Go home and take care of your kids" at truthout.org

1. Saturday night I'd guess we had 500 or so, and I didn't see
more than 30 counter protesters, tops.

Anybody else with a guess or accurate count?

2. I just think it's interesting how no news reports will guess at how
many people are there, but there's an actual number for the opposing side.

3. Yes, and the ProWar numbers reported sound high--
Not near 100 of them visible on Saturday afternoon.

4. on KTRH am in Houston, I heard 2 drastically different numbers
on two different reports. Morons. Late night report said that about 500 people showed up to hear Joan Baez on Sunday. The next morning, it was "over 100." :eyes:

Well, that second number is true. 500 is "over 100".

It's just like the anti-war marches before the war. We'd show up in
numbers ranging from 10,000 to 100,000 or more, and the media would
report that "hundreds" protested.

It's true. Several hundreds to thousands of "hundreds" protested.

And they can't be accused of lying because technically, their
statement was accurate even if it was grossly misleading.

from the beginning.

7. Aren't there sign in books at the CPH?
That should give some representation of the actual #'s.

9. I didn't know there was such a thing.
I hope there is for the accurate count, but on the other hand, I hope there isn't for the sake of privacy.

10. Maybe I'm wrong, I thought I read that there were guest books.
I'm sure someone here can correct me, if I am.

11. There were sign-in tables and guest books
But there was nowhere that you HAD TO sign in, so even those wouldn't be accurate.

12. But even if only 80% of people signed, it'd be SOMETHING
as opposed to the generic "hundreds" or "dozens" the media seems to like.
