9. Terwill...
TRUST me -- there have been MORE than a few in the past weeks. It were annoying as hell. :eyes:

Mitch and other were fighting the good fight, refuting the crap and calling on all Calis to do the right thing -- no on the recall.

I think the toads may have been temporarily driven underground, but I expect one or two will resurface before this is all over.

VOTE NO ON THE RECALL

(But I can't jump on a progressive who votes Green, they are liberal and aware and have many valid point's, but I believe they will also vote NO on the recall, hence democracy.)

8. Here's proof that poll numbers relased Sunday were bullshit
Edited on Tue Sep-30-03 09:44 PM by Booberdawg
<snip>

Schwarzenegger also got a lift from a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll released on Sunday that showed support among "probable voters" for the Davis recall running 63 percent to 35 percent, with Schwarzenegger outpacing Bustamante 40 percentage points to 25 percentage points. McClintock took 18 percent and the other major candidates, Green Party candidate Peter Camejo and independent Arianna Huffington, were in the lower single digits.

But Schwarzenegger's own staff thinks those numbers probably are too high. When the survey is winnowed to registered voters, support for the Davis recall slips to 55 percent vs. 41 percent -- results more in line with previous polling.

Davis and Schwarzenegger Prepare for Showdown

Now that's a vastly different slant on the numbers, wouldn't you say??

Edited on Tue Sep-30-03 10:09 PM by Oracle
use the "vast" republican owned corporate media, to show polls that "says" it's really all over and has already been decided. (I NEVER seen a more bullshit poll.)

And democrats you might as well stay home.

NO FUCKING WAY!

10. And then there's this bit of good news:
Huffington Drops Out Of Race in California
Independent Now Backs Davis's Effort to Keep Job

By Rene Sanchez
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, October 1, 2003; Page A10

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30 -- Arianna Huffington, the political provocateur who has roiled California's recall election with stinging attacks against her rivals on the ballot, quit the race tonight and vowed to spend the final days of the campaign denouncing actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and urging voters to keep Gov. Gray Davis (D) in office.

Huffington's decision is a sign of the anxiety spreading among many liberals in California that the recall movement, led by Republicans, may succeed in part because their votes are splintered among several candidates. Her supporters and those of the Green Party's Peter Miguel Camejo are a small fraction of the electorate. But their votes could be crucial if the Oct. 7 election is close.

<snip>

Together, Huffington and Camejo are drawing the support of about 6 percent of voters questioned in recent polls. But some polls also have suggested that Davis may need only that much more of the electorate to survive the recall.

"It might seem like just a sliver of the electorate," said Mark Baldassare, the polling director of the nonpartisan Public Policy Institute of California, "but it could be a significant one. In a close election, they could make a big difference."
