I believe this latest Pat Robertson inanity is a diversion.
If we are focusing on what an a**hole he is, we become diverted from Iraq, the neo-con scandal, Plame/Wilson, Sheehan, etc. What do you think?

2. I, at least, can keep several thought in my head at once.
This is nails in the coffin. One nail doesn't work, so the more the merrier.

10. It's called pile on.
Pile the crap so high no one can ignore it. Irf someone is willing to give the Pretzeldent a pass on one issue, there's another to piss them off. A broad variety of piss-offs available for thr Americaan public to choose from.

8. I agree with you!
There are too many things going on...and we have to stay on top of all of them. Ultimately...they all connect. One of the main reasons Bush is in office right now is Christian Fundamentalism. Any shred of doubt we can put in the minds of the "believers" is good. Maybe they'll start using their brains instead of repeating the Christian talking points.

(No offense to true, peace-loving Christians.)

4. Yes, but one we can turn to our advantage...
...without dropping the ball on Iraq/Plame/Sheehan/etc., which is all the same thing anyway.

B-)

6. It certainly isn't going to divert Chavez....
from keeping an eye on that aircraft carrier that we have down there. Or from cutting off the oil. I hope he does cut off the oil, that'll teach these insane fucks!

13. Has it occurred to Robertson how easy it would be for Chavez
to have him assassinated if he so desired. He would be dead by the end of the day. Further, someone from the U.S. right wing could do it and blame it on Chavez. Robertson would be wise to keep his mouth shut and hopes this blunder blows away.

17. I'd pay to see that.
Honestly though. If Robertson had said the same thing about Blair or Putin, the White House would IMMEDIATELY hold a press conference denouncing his views. Why are they silent on this?

20. Chavez is not a threat to Democracy. He was elected President
in a legitimate election and then stood up to a referendum. He has shared oil wealth with the poor in Venezuela, helping with education,
housing and medical expenses. They love him. Of course, the rich folks can't stand him because he's on to their game.

He is a threat to U.S. fascism and they know it. He has successfully stood up to them and is winning so far. However, if Bushco gets mad enough, they might be able to take him out. But, a fair warning, Venezuela is a large country with all sorts of topography. Chavez has stated that it would take 100 years to root all of the resistance forces out of the mountains. (I have no idea whether or not that is true.)

He isn't a threat to Democracy. Bush is and the entire world knows it.

7. Everything is a diversion.
Whether or not it's planned is another matter. (WARNING: Wondering if it is planned could be a diversion.)

14. No, Pat Robertson is part of the plan...
He's been tasked by Bush* et al to vilify the enemy and soften up the fundy base to the idea of attacking/invading Venezuela. He is doing Bush*, Rice, and Rummies bidding because, as much as they want to, they can't speak this crap publicly (at least for now!). That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
