LAS VEGAS (AP) - Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid of Nevada plans to make his first public appearance since suffering a brief mini-stroke that aides said caused no complications.
Reid, 65, will take part in an event Wednesday that he is co-sponsoring for religious leaders and social service advocates in North Las Vegas. Dubbed a faith-based services symposium, it was organized to draw attention to community needs.
"He'll be there," spokeswoman Tessa Hafen said Tuesday. "He's feeling good."
Reid canceled several public appearances in Nevada last week and spent the weekend with family and friends after experiencing dizziness Aug. 16 at home in Searchlight.
