8. I was talking to someone at the FCC just a while ago.

The woman at the FCC basically said that what Robertson said was freedom of speech and that the FCC has no jurisdiction over what he said. It was "one man's opinion"

I'm to complain to the station broadcasting it.

this was on cable, and the FCC has no jurisdiction over cable. Complaining to his network is the most we can do, outside of having him arrested for inciting violence or something along those lines. FCC can't do anything about this.

His "700 Club" show is on the TBN network which is on regular broadcast TV here in So Cal It's also shown on the Pax Network, also regular broadcast TV. I'm sure that TBN is regular broadcast everywhere else.

29. FCC ENFORCEMENT BUREAU. Here's how to complain...

I just got off the phone with the FCC. They appear quite alarmed about the statement Pat Robertson has made.

The gist of my conversation resulted in this condensed statement from the FCC employee I spoke with-

1) You cannot shout "fire" in a crowded theater.
2) Pat Robertson's broadcast quite likely is not only within the US, but also outside the country's boarders, making it all the more aggregious.
