Saw this plastered on a 4x4 truck in the parking lot on campus of Kalamazoo Valley Community College this morning:

"IF ISLAM IS A PEACEFUL RELIGION, THEN I GUESS STICKS OF DYNAMITE ARE JUST CANDLES."

Just below it was another that read: "FACE THE TRUTH: GEORGE BUSH IS SAVING ASSES."

You want to know the kicker? I'm pretty sure the owner of this Freepermobile is training to become a police officer in the college's police academy. It was parked in the area where there were a couple mocked-up police cruisers, and some other cars that had window stickers that said "KVCC Police Academy." He also had a sticker on his truck that said SigSauer - when I looked it up on the Internet my search took me to a site for law enforcement pistols.

How comforting that this asshat is going to be let loose on the streets to "serve and protect." :sarcasm:

There was no way I could keep from expressing my heartfelt sentiments to this asshole, so here's the text of the note I left under his windshield wiper:

Hey, Patriot -

I'm curious as to why you are here instead of over in Iraq helping George "save asses." If you aren't part of the solution, I'd say you're part of the problem.

I had run across this earlier on DU and never bookmarked it. I'm seeing quite a few "Bush/Cheney" stickers in the college parking lot and this older, wiser, raging, anti-war Democrat wants to help George with his recruiting goals. I'm going to print one out, take it to Kinko's and have about 100 of them copied on red, Astrobrite paper and keep them in my car for just the right moment to educate one of these so-called "young republicans."
