Could this be a metaphorical case of pot calling kettle black, or, in clinical terms, projection? Inquiring minds want to know.

1. Do you know what the word 'facist' even means?

4. Let's get real here.
The luny attacks on Clark are only promoting BFEE interests. If such a thing is done in earnest, then yes, I believe fascism profits.

17. useful idiots are not fascists
The redundant screw-ups going on in the Bush White House should put to rest any suspicion that these clowns could pull off a decent conspiracy. God they're idiots. My only tinfoil moments when it comes to presidential candidates is when it comes to Ralph Nader. I just know the Pugs are bankrolling that squeaky wheel.

DU'ers who attack Clark are being prejudiced against military people a/o recently converted Democrats. But being fascists isn't really the same as being prejudiced either (and compared to racial or gender prejudice, profession-based and philosophy-based prejudiced is hardly as irrational).

I like Clark. As my man Graham flounders, Clark is looking more and more like my fall back candidate. Clark is certainly very eloquent in the way that he expresses the highest ideals of the American republic. I find Dean's personality a bit of a turn off, but I'd gladly vote for him if he were nominated.

We really have a bumper crop of competant candidates.

13. Right on
exactly. I am sick of the misapplication of some words that have real and definite meanings.

6. Maybe, depending on who is posting.
I really believe that a lot of freepers are sliming Clark on this board. He is *'s worst nightmare, after all.

7. Of the posters
I know, that post questions or articles that are back up by facts, all are long term liberal Democrats.

It may be a bit difficult for others that have been repugs or have voted repug, to understand how strong we stand for the ideologies of the Democratic Party.

They, including myself, are Liberals and Proud Democrats.

9. And how badly do you want the BFEE defeated?
ABB is what this election boils down to. BUT, regardless of this absolutely important bottom line, I believe Clark would make an awesome president. His positions are right in line with my own, and I completely respect and trust him.

and what is this but unsubstantiated spin, only of a pro-Clark flavor?

imho Clark's qualifications for the office are minimal, and i don't respect him nor trust him.

i'd rather vote for a man who worked in a hospital than a man who bombed a hospital.

14. Please point out these "smears" and "spins" I'd like to see them.
All I've seen is legitimate questioning of an unproven and very conservative-smelling candidate.

A smear would be someone saying "Clark gleefully raped babies and drove his tank over old ladies' heads in the 'nam while suffering from the clap" Nobody's done that. A spin would be if he said "I want to bring back the great America of yesteryear" and we interpreted it as meaning "I want to bring back segregation and forced child labor" Nobody's done that either.

The only one who is smearing is the Clarkies. Smearing people as Freepers simply for questioning Clark's veracity and lack of experience. We haven't written him off - he has time to prove himself, but the Clarkies' support of him is premature, and I believe, a bit cowardly. If you are a democrat, have some confidence in our ideas. Don't let the media and wingnut friends tell you what we're all about.

16. I know people get passionate about their candidates but
let's keep our eyes on the prize. Bush out in 2004. This is going to be difficult. I am a Dean supporter, but if Clark or Kerry get the Nom then I am behind them 100%. No problem. I want Bushco out!
