:) DA was the best at directing traffic. When shuttles began slowing down late at night he just stopped individuals who drove out in their own vehicles and asked them to take some people back to Crawford. Worked great and the line was gone quickly!

I just love DA and PVD and frictionlessO more now that I've met them in person. These DUers and the Texas DUers are in the top 1% of Americans, IMO.:patriot:

18. DA was good & funny as a traffic cop

I was waiting for him to relate his experiences, but since he didn't mention it, I will. We had to stand in line for 40 minutes to get a shuttle (probably why he started commandeering private vehicles :thumbsup: for taking the leadership on this issue, DA. ) & we got to talking. DA said of he never saw himself as being a traffic cop, someone in authority, because he was of the mind if someone wanted to park, hell, let 'em park, secret service & cops be damned. But, since he had to tell them to move, he did...."Man, I'm sorry, I know you want to park here, & I really don't care, but they're making me tell you to keep going."

no, didn't get the memo & guess what? don't care. ;) if i don't care about folks now talking about me in town , i don't care if folks don't like my tie-dye either. (i've been on tv twice now & got lots of snarks yesterday "shouldn't you be in crawford?" "gonna give me $$ to go now?" "no" "then shut up. i go when i can.") :)

21. Damn straight. I'm in total agreement with you.

Someone started a thread a few days ago about how "we" should ban tie-dye in Crawford, you know, so folks in middle America can more readily identify.

Frankly, I thought it was a pretentious load of bull. I wish I could be down there, tie-dye and all.
