8. I remember as a kid having to pray that Dwight D. Eisenhower

would be put out of his misery. We kids prayed for that on Wednesday prayer meeting (after our liver dinner), and then on MY BIRTHDAY that Friday he passed away. Our music teacher went and cried and we all looked guilty at one another and felt betrayed by the adults who asked us to do that. Of course it was going to probably going to happen anyway, but still....
