Some folks laughed at me for my Anti-Iraq Invasion Signs: Who Would Jesus

Bomb!

I posted them in churches in their parking lots and on street corners where Church Goe'ers would have to pass by in the "build up by Condi/Powell to the Iraq Invasion."

I went out with Hubby and rubber gloves (so the FBI wouldn't identify me (too many Ludlum/LeCarr'e Thrillers, I guess) and we put up flyers we printed with tha message to Churches all over where we lived in our Big Red State Voting City.

I've always been proud of that...because I had a "perfect attendence in my "Sunday School" way back when the SOUTH WASN'T all some Fundie Christian Separate State. I left the South at 21 years old....and lived in Blue States...only recently returned to do my gesture of DEFIANCE.

But..Who Would Jesus Bomb!
goes back to MY CHILDHOOD and Religious Education in the Southern US...and I'm horrified as to the Fundie/Armageddonists/Zealots who somehow were thriving in the South since I left. When I came back, I couldn't recognize the place. I felt the South had been invaded...when in fact, they stayed here all along when folks like me Left the South and went North.

Should I blame them...or should they Blame Me? :shrug: For my "Schock that is." :-(
