They like a scandal too, it sells papers. As long as the story has legs and people keep talking, the repukes can clench their butt cheeks all they want, but something will give. You have to hand it to these fascists, they can control their own, but there are some moderate repukes. I am with the majority of people here who support new guidelines because I am sick and tired of inflammatory and flame bait topics that get started by people like you. Naturally, you object. This is no surprise to me, and also I've seen your little digs and barbs about this peppered all over other threads in the last couple days.

The whole purpose of these common sense guidelines is to improve the quality of discussion in GD. There is just no reason the initial post in a thread cannot be framed in such a way as to facilitate a quality discussion without offending or inciting hostility in others. Jesus H fucking Christ on a stick, we are talking about the subject line and the text of the initial post - you can cuss and piss and moan and be as rude as the current rules permit in the rest of the thread.
