1. most important.......
tonight, previsualize doing the test, and doing everything correctly in the driving. In the written, skip any question you don't know right away and come back to it. Take your time, relax.

4. Do not speed. Do not turn from the wrong lane.
Do not rush anything. This is a piece of cake.

8. OK
...memorize the book and you will be fine...driving tests (written) are predicated in feeding back what was fed to you.Try to recall in particular stopping distances...Actual, physical driving tests are based on not scaring the examiner...Put on your belts, set your mirrors (even if they are OK), keep craning your head, and drive defensively (chicken shit).Come back tomorrow so we can congratulate you...

10. Relax. You can always take it over, but you probably won't need to
Get as good a night's sleep as you can. Do your best.

We have faith in you, you should, too.

11. You will be fine....just remember everyone has to do it
and think of someone you have no respect for ...like Bush, and realize if he can do it ...you can too :)

12. Sometimes they get you to do a three point turn and then say go -
except the stop sign is behind you or right beside you at that point. Look around.

Rolling stops at stop signs are bad.

And really, three point check when you change lanes...and really..if you don't continue this once you have your license forever...I don't want you on the road.

13. Be sure to drive the speed limit, always use your turn signal
when switching lanes. On a highway, use your rearview mirror and side mirrors before changing lanes and ALWAYS glance over your left shoulder when moving into the left lane...BLIND SPOT. Pass the car and get back over in the RIGHT lane. (one of my pet peeves while driving...people who drive SLOW in the left passing lane. :grr:) At a 4 way stop...the person on the RIGHT goes first if you both stop at the same time, otherwise, first come, first go. Stop on the yellow lights, don't blow through them like I do! ;) Your instructor wouldn't appreciate that. Stay calm and have fun. :hi:

17. I can't imagine a real driving test
We had 20q multiple choice -- and they gave us the 300q test bank before the test.

As for the driving, I had to drive around a residential block, no lights, no left turns, no traffic. I was 15 at the time (MS at that time licensed @ 15).

I wouldn't have wanted to be within a square mile of me just after I got my license.

18. You'll do fine. It's the Right Wing that can't drive.
1) Anytime you can say, blank came into contact with my vehicle. You have been in an accident that is not your fault. Anytime you can say, my vehicle came into contact with blank. You have been in an accident that is your fault. You must stop and render aid and information. If you leave the scene without doing this. It is called a Hit and Run. This is a serious crime every where in America but Texas.

2) Never drive in Texas. You don't know what the other cars on the raod have run over. High School football Stars. Memorials to our troops. You just can't tell.

3) Call your Senator and ask them to vote to withhold highway funds from Texas. At least until they can properly enforce traffic law in their high profile cases. Can you imagine what Billy Joe Bob Jack is getting away with?

19. Keep BOTH hands on the wheel.
...also remind the evaluator to fasten his/her seat belt.

You shouldn't have to memorize the DMV book. Most of the questions SHOULD be common sense.
