maybe there are some, and if there are, let me know which ones, but i sure don't see them there offering support or agreement. why?

because, well, it's too sad to talk about.

1. Come on tell us, we are all big boys and girls
We can handle the truth... This is the Democratic Underground not Freeper-land.

I am dying to know what excuses they have.

3. They do not dare to say bring the men home.
Getting into office and keeping your pension is more important to them than anything else. Who is going to stand up and say we are all sending second rate men to the WH and congress?

12. Sheila Jackson-Lee also...
Not only did sho go there to support Ms. sheehan, she gave a very inspiring speech.

I guess the MSM didn't hear about this though, so they weren't able to report on it.

6. Because if they take a stand, somebody might use it to vote against them!
Their logic appears to be:

o If they never take any stands, then no one will ever have a reason to
vote *AGAINST* them.

This seems to assume some facts that aren't in evidence about whether or
not anyone would ever vote *FOR* them.

9. Simple.
Because it's safer not to. That, and some who have a legitimate disagreement with the idea of getting out right now. Those are few though, and in their case I wonder why they haven't presented any alternatives to the genius of the Bush "Keep doing the same things we've been doing" plan which as worked... so well.

10. Because they're worthless as tits on a bull.
I mean it! The Democratic leadership in this country cares more about what Republicans think about them than what the rank and file Democratic voter thinks of them. Most of them voted for the war even though they knew better because they were worried about what Republicans would think and say about them. They disgust me and if there was any kind of viable alternative to them I would take it in a heartbeat.

13. I hear 'ya Paul, loud and clear.
Maybe they're just waiting for this to pick up more steam, LOL!

The only action I see coming from the Senate is the hard talk on the floor and to their constituents, and that's about it.

Bring the troops HOME today.

15. That is an easy question MoPaul.
This is a popular war with a popular President leading it. The Democrats wouldn't ever try to get in the way of that.
