My father, a senior citizen who knows a lot and yells at the TV, but has not EVER been active in politics called me up after checking Gen Clark for himself on TV, and said that he thought he wanted to start making political donations. This is TOTALLY new--never a donation or a rally in his life.
He was thinking of $50-100 for Clark. I had to talk him down to $10 over a period of weeks. He hates Bush and just really admired Clark and his answers when he caught him on CSpan.
Anyway, this kind of shocked the shit out of me and pleased me at the same time.
Anyone else have stories like this about ANY Dem candidate bringing a member of your family (NOT you) into politics?
Stories are always fun, and it's be interesting to compare notes.
(disclosure: I support Clark)
