USA Today: " A patriotic camp with a "God Bless Our President!" banner.."

FYI for the Activist Corps.

Bush dogged on vacation by critics
By Richard Benedetto, USA TODAY Wed Aug 24, 7:01 AM ET

http://news.yahoo.com/s/usatoday/20050824/ts_usatoday/bushdoggedonvacationbycritics;_ylt=Auf_eqDDnceC.h7ec5jEEJCs0NUE;_ylu=X3oDMTA3b2NibDltBHNlYwM3MTY-

<snip>

Meanwhile, the publicity given the anti-war crowd has prompted a pro-Bush backlash.

A patriotic camp with a "God Bless Our President!" banner has sprung up in Crawford, where anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, who lost her son in Iraq, had been camping out until recently. The pro-Bush camp was set up by the father of a Marine killed in Iraq who says his son was proud to serve Bush and believed in his mission.

People who support Bush's Iraq policy and groups for military families such as Northern California Marine Moms embarked on the tour Monday, calling it "You don't speak for me, Cindy!" The caravan planned rallies in several California cities before heading to Crawford.

Why won't my link post correctly?

1. Odd... I thought the patriotic camp was the other one.
You know, the one trying to bring our soldiers out of harm's way and restore legitimacy to our national reputation.

That's going to be an expensive trip for the caravan at $3 per gallon.

An article in your paper today by Richard Benedetto said:
"A patriotic camp with a "God Bless Our President!" banner has sprung up in Crawford, where anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, who lost her son in Iraq, had been camping out until recently. The pro-Bush camp was set up by the father of a Marine killed in Iraq who says his son was proud to serve Bush and believed in his mission."

This is INCORRECT in that you are calling a pro-bush camp "PATRIOTIC" which seemingly then compares Cindy Sheehan's Camp Casey to be somehow "unpatriotic".
There is nothing more patriotice than dissent.
Both camps are expressing their points of view on an issue. Yours is not the duty to declare one camp "patriotic" over another. Richard Benedetto should be ashamed to call himself a journalist.
Your duty to the public is to report the issues, not to add rhetoric or judgement.
Report the news, which is that a pro-bush camp has been set up and that is all. This camp has an opposite view than Cindy's camp. That is all the news. Period.

The "You don't speak for me, Cindy" group is being sponsored by an organizational which claims to be nonpartisan, but which is actually being run by a Republican PR Group. This organization is

http://moveamericaforward.org/
It was formed by a PR group, Russo, Marsh, and Rogers.

This same group organized the recall of Gray Davis. Lots of info about them here...

www.whatreallyhappened.com/russo.html

The pro-war group is funded and sponsored by a pro-Republican PR group, who has had their fingers in a lot of smear campaigns. I just want the people at Camp Casey to be aware of who is on the way, if they are still planning on their caravan from California.

Edited to add: I'm going to check this group more later, have to go take care of some other things right now, but will be back. Stay safe.
