1. Oh yeah!.... Halliburton is sacrificing so much
and not taking hardly any profit so our kids are safe and well fed over there, and don't hurt themselves, tripping over all those rose petals..

17. LIAR!!!
The oil companies in this country just posted $7.7 BILLION in pure PROFIT in this last QUARTER!!!
Then there's this:
http://www.globalpolicy.org/security/oil/2004/0128oilprofit.htm

Table 2 below uses the four variables to estimate potential profits for the oil companies in Iraq. In order to understand the magnitude of these profits, it is useful to know that the worldwide profits of the world’s five largest oil companies in 2002 were $35 billion. Our estimate of the “most probable” annual profits in Iraq are $95 billion, three times this sum! Total company profits in Iraq, over time, would be an enormously large sum – ranging from a low of about $600 billion to a high of about $9 trillion.
Click on the link to see table 2.

and this:
http://reid.senate.gov/gasprices0504.cfm

"The big oil companies control the supply, and they know that families really have little choice in the matter ... they literally have consumers over a barrel.

While consumers were paying record prices, the oil companies were reaping record profits.

The first quarter profits for the big oil companies were recently released. What a shock - the refining and marketing profits of the big four oil companies have increased by a staggering amount over one year ago!

BP – up 165%
Chevron-Texaco - up 294%
Conoco-Phillips - up 44%
ExxonMobil - up 125%"

This is "patriotic"? That's the second time this week this word was bastardized in the media and from the administration. Is there any doubt that they are using the same playbook?

26. He was talking about how businesses in America are
showing more concern for the people and soldiers than their profits...among other things...soldiers aren't being fired for going on deployment...even though stories of that very thing happening are known.
