Note to self: When setting up a contract with a religious psycho...
make sure there's not an "in perpetuity" clause anywhere in it.

I can't believe the ABC "Family" (and what a joke that is) Channel can't cut that whacko Robertson loose. To hear them explain it, he could rape a squirrel live on camera (now, Pat, don't get any ideas) and there's nothing they could do about it. They'd have to show him molesting the poor critter three times a day.

2. Thing is
Their management probably considers the Rev. Pat a wholesome, mainstream man of God.

3. They are so full of shit
Contract or no contract he blatently called for the murder of another human being. Because he disagrees with his political philosophy. ABC has total grounds to pull his fucking show off the air, they just don't want to piss off the Religious Right. After all it was only a few months ago the RR eased their "boycott" of Disney...

4. As the Rev. William S. Burroughs said:
"If you're dealing with a religious sonufabitch, GET IT IN WRITING!
His word isn't worth shit - not with the good lord telling him how to fuck you on the deal."

"Words of Advice for Young People"

A classic. And every word is absolutely true. I've never forgotten this.

5. Well....if ABC Can't dump him....
how about raising a stink with cable companies to drop the CBN channel from their lineup? or move it to a pay tier.

we could say the channel incites violence and hatred against fellow americans (homosexuals, pro-choicers, feminists etc) and that terroristic threats against world leaders is jsut too much. You do not want your children exposed to it accidentally and wish to have it removed or moved to a different tier?

it owuld be pretty funny if all the jesusfreaks would be forced to buy skinemax in order to watch their radical clerics.

10. So long as there's an appropriate disclaimer:
"no actual squirrels were sodomized in the making of this documentary" the PETA folks will be satisfied.

12. ABC can get rid of him...
Once it starts hurting them in the money I'm sure they would cut him quick.

Want an end to Robertson? Go for the advertisers.

13. Always get money up front, they are notorious for not paying...
I video tape weddings on the side, I learned my lesson. Never, NEVER, do a born again wedding ever, EVER, again. I did two. The first one, they took forever to pay me. I never give the product until they have the cashola. They bitched and moaned, threatened to sue me, blah blah blah, but no cashie no tapie (actually dvd).

So I shrugged it off as stupid people and went on with my life.

Then I took another one and that was a big, BIG, mistake. Same deal, cheapskates, trying to get something for nothing. Kept after me to make changes long after they approved it. Finally, I put my foot down and said, I have done two free changes for you, this third one is going to cost you. I never heard from them again. Oh and yes, they were late paying as well.

I'm a fan of William Burroughs, and I used to have his "Words of Advice for Young People" on MP3. He was absolutely correct about this. I've never forgotten the lesson.
