isn't it obvious that 911 was to continue the 2000 coup, with a delicious twist? the pigmedia has been lying their ass off forever, really...they got away with it because, well, there were always just enough democratic competents around to make sure things never went too far into the hole, but then along came bush. we all like to think our 'superiors' are smarter and more informed and ultimately able to make wiser choices, come hell or high water, they being gifted, but bush proves they have NEVER EVER KNOWN what the hell they were doing, and it's only because of class-warfare conscious mediawhores that the (history) story was cleaned up and made nice and sweet, for the public to enjoy....when bush seized control in the 2000 election, he owed the mediawhores big time, and thant must have rankled, or something. 911 burnt the mediawhores (and the corporate democratic establishment such as kerry, al gore and clintons etc) bridges on them. they found that if bush faces justice, he simply explains what happened and about 300 thousand pigs get hanged (this is of course the ed boards of major newspapers, the management of major news orgs, and all the financial goofs who make it happen) along with bushinc...

CNN has had some brief moments of reality based reporting recently, however, they still toe the Republican party line for the most part.

12. Ratings--plain, pure, and simple.

They believed initially that making themselves over into Faux-lite would win them viewers. It didn't and only suceeded in driving liberals and moderates away from their network as they lied and whored for BushCo.

This past Sunday, they grew a spine (and some balls) and decided to air a documentary critical of the Bush administration's justification for war. They raked in the ratings and suddenly seemed to discover that people will watch them if they do their damned jobs.

I'm just not one of them anymore though. I got fed up with them ages ago and developed a particularly intense dislike for Wolf Blitzer, Candy Crowley, and Bill Hemmer (now gainfully employed by his spirtual home, Faux) specifically. So I really don't give a damn what they air, I'm not watching, but boy is it interesting to note that they have apparently seen the light and are actually criticisim of the Chimpinator on their airwaves.

Many people in the news biz understand what a huge impact FOX news had on the media.

Maybe there is an AAR/Liberal Blogosphere effect. I woudln't have known about that CNN documentary on Sunday had i not read it on Atrios.

We really need a liberal version of FOX. Maybe not as far to the right/partisan as FOX but we need something like this.
