Is anyone else tired of this "I know more people than you do in Iraq" game

?

It's just starting to bug me that regardless of what side you're on in this war to prove moral superiority you have to know x amount of people currently serving in Iraq.

I am NOT attacking Cindy Sheehan's position whatsoever before anyone thinks this.

My feelings about Cindy are simple: She lost her son in an unjust war. Her son died so the PNAC could get paid and Iraq could become a theocracy I hold zero illusions about that.

She wants accountability and she wants answers and she's nothing left to lose so she is doing what any brave mother would do and I support her 110%

This goes for all mothers of soldiers out there both living or tragically KIA.

On the counter side we have those who lost a son in Iraq who continue to support Bush and use the "well I am just like Cindy I lost a son but I disagree with her!"

This is supposed to of course balance things out.

Unfortunately it doesn't make a difference that you and Cindy both mourn the loss of your loved one.

Neither Cindy nor a bush supporting mother of a dead soldier can claim moral superiority on the basis that you lost a child or a husband due to the war.

What I am saying is I want to hear more talk of WHY these soldiers died the TRUTH behind why they were put in this position by a government that clearly doesn't give two shits about them or their families.

I personally believe the mothers and wives who still support Bush just don't want to believe their only son(s) or husbands died for nothing.

It is indeed an agonizing thought that your good Christian president would dare put your son in harm's way for greed and under the umbrella of deception.

One of my best friends from high school joined the Marines and went to Iraq. Before he went he was very gung ho wanting to fight in a war ANY war he wanted to test himself to prove himself.

When he returned he was a very different person. You tend to become a different person once you've actually seen human beings fall under bullets you've fired and realize this is real life and not a video game.

I remember him telling me in a very sad sort of "I just don't want to believe it" way that most of the soldiers in his squad serving in Iraq just want to convince themselves regardless of the facts that what they are doing is right, that they have freed innocent people from Saddam's torture chambers ect.

This is the thought I imagine the pro bush mothers hold onto and if they so much as have been exposed to 5% of the truth about the war in Iraq I can't help but almost weep for the massive cognitive dissonance they face every day and night.

Right now from what little I know and can gleam I am willing to bet the vast majority of troops over there care more about getting themselves and their friends home alive than giving the Iraqis the Bush brand of freedom

So I ranted a little more than I wanted to, but I'm just personally fed up with the "I know so and so who is over there that makes me know shit and you don't" act.

Look the fact of the matter is YOU are not over there YOU aren't the one getting shot at or seeing your buddy getting blown to pieces or getting wounded. All the horrors of war you just read about them but you don't see them.

In this post I'm guilty of talking like I know them and I don't have a fucking clue.

But one thing I do know is that regardless of whether you are pro bush's war or anti and you have a loved one serving over there you have to cope with and understand that they are not over there fighting and dying for this nation. Interestingly they'd be doing more protecting our freedoms by helping to secure the borders (I mean from criminals and drug runners not poor illegals just looking for a job)

So enough with this game of who knows who serving in Iraq and instead do some research look beyond what the media and the so called leader of the free world says. Take a look at what Iraq has become and what will quickly become in the not so distant future and think to yourself is that worth my loved one's life. Is that what my husband or son was sent to put his life at risk or tragically away for?

1. This is definitely Bush's war in Iraq..
Not America's war...Freeing Iraqi's from saddam's torture chambers
and putting in place---Bush's torture chambers..The Iraq war is based on Lies,Forgeries, and a blatant land grab..Why Iraq? I say because its sits atop of 212 Billion Barrels of oil.....The Bush Crime Family thought it would be a piece of cake this war in Iraq, what have we learned since March 19 2003?..I learned those Arab/Muslims wont allow
the theft of their country's wealth without a fierce fight and we're losing,BIG TIME.....

2. See, I think as an American citizen I can speak up
And as I do, I note that nobody I know, nobody, no relation, no townsmen, no neighbors, no business colleagues, who have gone to Iraq.

And that's the way Bush wants it. He wants me to go shopping for my part of the war.

He WANTS me to say, Hey, nobody I know is dead, or wounded, and I'm going shopping.

I'm not playing the game.

Cindy Sheehan deserves answers to her questions about the war, and so do I. She symbolizes NOT a mother BUT all us citizens who give a shit and want an explanation.

3. Blame it on the Uniter not a Divider.
He's the one responsible for this oneupmanship. He's playing that game and I hope it backfires on him big time!
