1. Another detail that has been forgotten everywhere as far as I know.

In June or July, 2001, the FAA changed the rules on pilots carrying guns. They forbade them from doing so after that point. And I just heard on the Daily Show that the FAA is thinking about allowing small knives back on board with passengers.

I found it strange that after 20-30 years of pilots being allowed to take a gun on board that the administration should stop that right before 9-11.
