One of the first Bush administration statements, with regard to foreign policy, concerned the establishment of an "axis of evil." I believe the administration considered Iraq, Iran and North Korea to be such an axis.

When we finish with No. 1, who will be next, Iran or North Korea? If you were the leader of one of those nations, would you sit idly by and await your turn?


I would take whatever measures were available to me. How can we deplore their efforts to explore nuclear arms when we have the largest arsenal for immediate use?

I think I may have posted this too quick without reading too deeply into it. It's just lately this local rag has been so right-tilting in it's letters, editorials and cartoons, I assumed the worst.

What I got was

1) after * identified his targets can we expect said targets to sit on their hands waiting their turn?

2) It's hypocritical of the US to give other countries grief over nuclear weapons when the US has more that most countries combined.

Quite honestly, the leaders of the "Axis of Evil" countries would be foolish to do nothing after being put on notice by the * Misadministration.

Especially after witnessing what happened in Iraq - a country that was invaded by another country that knew there were no nukes or other weapons of mass destruction within their borders.
