A letter to my senator, Barack Obama

Dear Senator
Sooner or later the first Democratic U.S. Senator will take the courageous stand of truly opposing this war and asking for the immediate withdrawal of our troops. It might as well be you. Sure, your Illinois approval ratings may temporarily drop from 70% to 65% but you will be taking the moral high ground and God knows there isn't a lot of moral high ground coming out of Washington DC these days. I am astonished that not one U.S. Senator has actively supported or offered any encouragement to Cindy Sheehan. This brave mother of a lost son is marching her way into the history books. Would you please take her hand and march with her?
