Undoubtedly the content on Monday's telecast of The 700 Club was not suitable for most young audiences. Of course, the content was also very overwhelming for most adults watching it, including those who weren't. Which I don't argue that it is, I mean come on, who wouldn't when a child is watching this TV program and hears a fellow worshiper saying we should kill someone, just because we can. This is unacceptable.
This is the kind of material republicans and Christians are trying to stop in our TV programming and games. If theres something they don't like, they complain until it is pulled from the shelves. However it is clear many of those programs and games may not be suitable for children, but at least all of them have ratings. These ratings are put into place so it helps parents to decide what is or isn't suitable for their children to watch, or play. If programming/games under a certain TV rating become too violent, sexual, offensive language and dialog than what the TV rating has labeled it, rest assured the FCC is there to take action against it, and give a higher rating. Remember the "wardrobe malfunction” in last year’s Super Bowl, right? RIGHT!
So to stay in course with what the FCC state how programming should be rating for its content, we should look into changing the ratings for the 700 Club. While this show isn't rated, the time has come that it should. If the Super bowl cannot get away with a "legit" wardrobe malfunction, then how can a programming get away with suggesting to our children we must kill people of foreign power, whose interests are opposites of ours? If we cannot do that, then we might as well have porn from the 70's on the Nick at Night channel and slap a TV-Y rating on it. So if you agree with me, then please take action by contacting CBN and FCC, telling them to voluntarily rate the 700 Club with a rating of at least TV-PG, but recommend a TV-14. The content they are airing is not suitable for our young viewers and will probably continue to do so, since republicans/Christians say TV programs are continuing to be more violent, sexual, stronger language, and dangerious dialog as the years go by. They're probably right, so the 700 Club won't be any different.
