Poll question: Where has the outrage gone?
3000 of us have been killed on Cheney's order in a false flag attack on 9/11.

2000 of us have died to follow Cheney's and Rumsfeld's orders to set up oil pipelines, embezzle money through Halliburton, and smuggle heroin in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Atrocities like raping young children in front of their parents and all kinds of medieval torture are being inflicted upon goat herders and cab drivers who have nothing to do with terrorism on Cheney's and Rumsfeld's orders.

Our jobs are vanishing en masse.

Gasoline is getting Enronized and the prices are gouging us.

In most countries this level of malfeasance would have effects best described in rather vague terms as "explosive." Why isn't the whole country outraged?

2. Many people have no real idea what's going on
They are used to the insipid pabulum that is Faux News or some similar garbage.

3. I think I had an option for that one.
Thanks for voting at all, though.

5. I think it's building up
I was tempted to answer "people have no idea", but voted "Other", because you've seen the polls - people *are* getting fed up slowly, some info must be trickling through to them. I think one big reason you're not seeing huge protests yet is that people need to work and many perhaps feel their job situation is precarious. You're not going to Camp Casey if your job may be sent overseas next week or next month.

In fact, who *can* stage a lasting protest, I wonder, other than students and retirees? I so wanted to go to Edinburgh for the G8 summit but I had to work, even though I'm a freelancer - still couldn't drop the project I had a deadline on.

Another reason is the media aren't doing their job, so many people don't get the information they should, and those who do have it are disheartened. We gotta talk to people and use the net as best we can to disseminate information. I believe MSM will eventually get on board, but only when they have no other option, i.e. when it becomes impossible to continue their denial. This may not be soon.
