Does anyone else really dislike
when moderators delete messages in threads?

I've been a member of several internet bulletin boards and I've never seen so many posts be deleted by moderators as I do here.

As a participant, I find this practice a little "over the top" and it makes for extremely confusing reading and seems to really derail certain debates/conversations, etc.

Can someone, perhaps a moderator, give me a sense of what kind of messages are being removed?

4. It happened with me one time
I was teasing a guy and he took me seriously and hit the alert button and all that. Since then I've been very careful not to offend anyone. It was my fault, I was just trying to get his goat and it went a little too far.

Believe me, these posts are probably better left deleted. I'm glad mine was.
