Why or why not? The essential question is why not. There is no good reason "not".

The bible is not a reason.

Religion is not a reason, or should not be, in our nation.

Should it? Perhaps that's the true question. We can be any religion we want...as long as it's Christian? As long as we conform to an organized religion? Shall we wear arm bands?

And as for "anyone marrying anything", like furniture or farm animals...when we see protesters in the steets, waving banners, starting political movements over the issue, yelling and screaming on websites, talking on tv with REAL people and kids and families and important family issues...we can talk about it then. It's a non-issue now. Peroid.

There is no reason NOT. So we have no reason to say no.

I have a very good friend with a mother who was a lesbian, and her partner was the "other" most important person in his life. There was love and caring, and if that isn't enough for "family", then it's most certainly a problem with our nations idea of family. Not gay folks.
