Dear Representative Cole,

Currently there is a resolution before the House International Relations Committee for a Resolution of Inquiry in President Bush's administration's communications in the lead up to the Iraq War. President Bush has incurred the anger of your local constituents by saying that those who do not support the war in Iraq are hoping for the failure of the War on Terror. Nothing could be further from the truth. This president goes too far in his anti-dissedent rhetoric.

If this resolution should come to the floor of the House, I am asking that you co-sponsor this pivotal legislation. Even though I am confident you will tow the party line -- as you always do -- I suspect it does no harm to ask. Mr. Cole, it is high time that you take a principled Republican stance and think for yourself. As a government contractor, I can say that I am pleased with what you have done in regards to BRAC, but I would urge you to do the right thing. Please co-sponsor this resolution (H. Res. 375).
