Greta is blogging. Aiyiyi...
She answers critics who wonder about her Missing Person Fixation with a long post that sets a new standard for meandering high-minded piffle. The bit where she divines the inner mind of Bob Costas without like, maybe picking up the phone and asking for his thoughts, is pretty choice.

St Greta's got a good shot at inadvertent internet celebrity. Look out Mahir!

1. Oh. My. God.
...It occurred to me that maybe Bob Costas bowed out of doing the missing persons story on Larry King because he realized he is not experienced in criminal investigations enough to do a missing persons topic show and wanted to take a pass so that he would not do a poor job or an awkward one. There are some stories I would probably not want to do. Since I don't golf, it would be silly for me to do an hour on Tiger Woods (search) in a tournament, or an hour on the Masters (although I do think the fact women are excluded from the Augusta National Golf Club (search) membership is a great topic for me and I think I have done it.)

2. I'd like to ask her a question
I'd like to ask her to explain whoi Xenu is and why he's important.

4. Xenu
That's easy. If he's missing, then he's important. If he's merely imprisoned in a mountain on a planet somewhere, then he's irrelevant.

3. Piffle...
...is a good word to describe Greta. She misses the whole point of the criticism of the Missing Person Fixation. In that post, she repeatedly refers to an "epidemic" of missing people. There's no such thing. There's just an "epidemic" of obsessive news coverage of missing people. And to pretend that she's doing it all for the sake of the families is a joke. Initial coverage of a missing person for a few days is undoubtedly helpful. Periodic reminders are undoubtedly helpful. Wall-to-wall, 24-7, minute-by-minute coverage of the Natalee Holloway case is not helpful to anyone. It's just annoying.
