An UNFIT mother wouldn't care if Bush lies her sons to their deaths.

Cindy is doing what any FIT mother would do when she finds out that the man in charge COOKED THE INTELLIGENCE BOOKS so he could start a war that her son had no choice but to fight and die in service to that lying man who lied him to his death.

She's asking him , now that the DSM proves you lied this country into war, WHY did her son have to die for a LIE?

1. You better believe it.
At the same time, there are those on the other side whose world would fall apart if they realized what has happened. I can't blame those in the pro-Bush camp for their stance. What makes me angry is when the right wing assholes attack Cindy for HER position.

2. Very good point.
Yet it's very hard to call a mother who has lost a child unfit, maybe the mothers who have children serving and still support * could be called 'unfit'.

3. ya know you're right, and
what's more, people could look from the outside, and make a pretty good case to paint bush every bit as 'evil' as Saddam AND bin laden have been painted.
Along with Americans who believe he is the worst thing that could ever have happened to America. He talks so much about the 'rape rooms'- yet what about ABU GARHIB? He talks about people being 'disapeared' about people being afraid to speak against the dictator.

Uhhhh, i'm getting that sick feeling again. like we have become what we abhorred.... and who's gonna come liberate us, ....

Wierd thing how that 'spin cycle' can make you feel when it goes the other direction. More like agitating.

let me off.

4. I recall several (25) years ago when I had Navy CACO duty
(Casualty Assistance Calls Officer) when you have to walk up, knock on the door and tell a parent or other loved one that a servicemember had died in service to his/her country. This Sailor died in a peactime shipboard accident. His mother's number one concern was how much insurance money she would be getting. She'd be the kind out there with a "support the war placard." I wanted to slap her but maintained the necessary professional demeanor. She didn't even fake being sad.

6. That's pretty damn sad. Too many parents out there resent their kids
and could care less if they lived or died.

5. True.
If it were my child killed for lies, I would be asking the same questions Cindy is.

9. re-thinking this, i really feel sad for her, because she's still
in that denial place-

She's still clinging to anything that can make the pain not so overwhelming. And she is being used like toilet paper-
and i'm sorry i didn't think more before responding.

and feeling the pain of community, and compassion and empathy sucks.

Thank you for helping me look in the mirror.

Cindy is doing the 'healthy' thing- this mom, is stuck- and being played. Maybe we can hope for better for her???

i'm sorry.

10. That'd be true BEFORE the DSM, but after, it's likely a WILLFUL ignorance.
And for that I'm not so sympathetic.

is really odd what grief can do-

and how twisted we can get trying not to have to face what only makes the loss all the more tragic, and untenable. Hopefully the anger will come, and be directed to an outlet that is productive.- or at least not harmful.

13. i'm sorry, i didn't realize who you were refering to, now
i 'get it' - duhhhh!!!-

You mean the lady who said she'd offer up all her children willingly?
That's alot easier said than done.- Because she knows NOT what she speaks about.

i'm very emotional today- and even more addlepated than usual-

I hope she never has to know what it's like- and that she comes to realize how wrong she is.

thanks for setting me straight-

wish you could keep me there.
