You seriously won't believe what Limbaugh said today...
...about Bush's low approval ratings on the Iraq war.

I was completely astounded by this horrendous lie. Either the man is completely delusional, or he's intentionally lying and assuming that his audience is comprised of drooling lemmings.

Limbaugh conceded that Bush's handling of the war has low poll ratings. However, he said these low poll ratings are a GOOD thing. Rush said that the reason the polls are slipping on Iraq is because more and more people want Bush to do MORE. They want him to invade Syria and bomb them, and they want Bush to invade Iran and bomb them.

So--according to Rush--people are unhappy with Iraq because Junior isn't taking this war far enough, wide enough and we're not bombing or killing enough people.

I'm sorry, but this is so delusional that it's criminal.

I know...Rush is a liar and we should expect crapola to ooze from the corners of his mouth. However, I truly think that this is the biggest bunch of disingenuous crap ever launched from the EIB microphone.

That's the theory Rush has always operated under. If he says it, his army of ditto-head morons will repeat it over and over, and pretty soon it will start to appear on TV and in newspapers as the truth. That's how it works.

...Rush hopes that his words will be parroted by the mind-numbed robots who listen--while they drive and polish their gun racks at the same time.

Also---I think that Rush is able to take BushCo's message to the next level, because he's not as accountable as the White House. I think BushCo uses Rush to say things that they cannot say. For example, when Junior said that those who want us to pull out of Iraq immediately were "weakening American" Rush also added that we were "unpatriotic" and that we sympathized with the terrorists.

I think they work in tandem and it makes me sick.

He must SO miss the late 90s: newly thin and flying high thanks to his pills, getting to bash a Democratic President everyday rather than having to prop up a stupid Republican one - and the Impeachment Drama!-- he was really enjoying himself back then. Haven't heard him much in recent years, but what I hear is never good. You know during impeachment, he could do THE BEST Clinton impression -- and would go off on these (pill-fueled) hilarious riffs of Big Dawg trying to talk himself out of his scrapes.

That man would be so much better off, I think, if Kerry had actually won.

36. Republican philosophy: thou shalt kill (especially if poll numbers are low
What kind of shit-headed logic is this? Are they going to kill us all when they commit suicide with our nation? Are we really in that much trouble? Judging by Bush's tacit approval of Robertson & the American Legion, I think we need to be ready for anything. I know they are trying to scare us with these tactics, but some of the more gullible Republican red-necks may not know the difference between rhetoric and a commandment. That's why incitement is a criminal offense! Republicans are inciting a riot - this is a criminal act and they MUST be arrested NOW!

The media and many (most?) of the Democrats would race to support any new war, for fear of being called unpatriotic or compared to Micheal Moore.

It will be the pre "Mission Accomplished" days all over again- his poll numbers would go back up.

48. In a perverted way he is correct. The war has grown stale.
Personally I think his poll numbers actually are a result of higher gas, I believe if gas was 1.40 and credit was still cheap he would be in the upper 40s. Frankly most Americans could give two shits about kids dying in Iraq as long as its not there family but poor people who aren't there 'kind of people'.

Back to Rush though... this country loves to bandwagon, sports teams(90s cowboys, New England now), political parties, etc the masses role with perceived power. But inorder to bandwagon you need a one to climb abord on and it needs to have continual fire. This war started off being pushed like the 90s cowboys and suddenly we were all on the bandwagon lifelong fans of the Iraqi war and ready to kick ass.

The problem is that it is essentially a stale mate, and Joe Average doesn't have the attention span for a stalemate, so much like that baseball game thats dragging on and on with no score into the 7th inning stretch Joe is decided to move onto greener pastures.

So Rush is essentially saying if the president wants to get gains in his poles he needs to start a fresh attack, one with shock and awe and explosions and embedded journalists looking ridiculous and get that testoserone flowing. This whole thing with young men and women slowly getting killed off, wounded for life is getting old for the American public because its 'boring'.

But from the posts like this one that I've been reading, it sounds like they are getting desperate and grasping at straws to explain why people are becoming more and more dissatisfied with Bush and his administration. This is good news. It will get worse before it gets better as these people will resort to more and more ridiculous claims. But the more ridiculous it gets, the more people will realize how nuts they are.
