In the Senate, the R senator from Texas (I am sorry, I don't remember the name... I have C-span underneath my other work on the computer) was saying that the outing of Plame was NOT DONE BY THE WHITE HOUSE AND THAT NOVAK SAID AS MUCH.
THAT EVERYBODY KNEW ABOUT SHE BEING A CIA PERSON.
THAT THERE IS NO NEED FOR INVESTIGATION. THIS IS BLOWN OUT OF ALL PROPORTION FOR POLITICAL PURPOSES.
In other words, nothing to see here, keep on going please.

Also, it probably is common knowledge that she is an analyst. It was probably not common knowledge that she was an operative in the past. This is the same spin we are hearing from Novak. It is nothing knew. I sounds like the senator is just repeating what he or she heard from Novak.
