no body bags, no footage of soldiers dying...no journalism...nothing...
4 died on Sept 30 in one day while * was eating his 2000 dollar a plate dinner.

7. Okay - speaking of which - how about a little help on this LTTE

Inspired by Mari33 - don't want to start a new thread:

How nice, Bush is in town eating a $2,000 a plate dinner raising $1.7 million at a fundraiser and on the very same day 4 U.S. soldiers are killed in Iraq. How is it that Bush makes it to every fundraising event and has yet to attend even 1 soldier’s funeral?

Bush may as well donate his $1.7 million to the Iraq rebuilding and the rest of the $200+ million in his re-election fund because even that amount of money will not buy him the election in 2004 (unless of course we get the black box voting machines) . I will be surprised if Bush gets more than 100 votes 13 months from now as America suffers the worst economy since the Great Depression under his leadership, not to mention presiding over the worst attack on America soil, a needless war for profit with tens of thousands of deaths based on lies and the loss of the war with Afghanistan. His convention is New York (invoking 9/11) will prove to be the biggest embarrassment to any living President running for re-election as most New Yorker’s loathe him and his lying administration. Saddam Hussein has become our $160 BILLION Dollar man. Was he worth it?

6. It's kind of like car accident deaths

As long as its a just one or two deaths at a time (incident) the Public "absorbs" it. 43,000 people die in auto accidents each year (but mostly 1 or 2 at a time) in the US but no one makes that big of a deal about it. But if 100 people die in a plane accident that's major news for days. It makes no sense, but it is the wayt it is.
