Whatever happened to Charles Grodin (I think that's his name |
anyway) who used to have this commentary program on CNN or MSNBC just around the time of the 2000 election. He is an actor, I know. I kinda miss seeing him still. He used to have some excellent rants. Smart guy and pretty liberal.

1. I think Grodin was a little too low key and smart for TV. |
After all it's gotta be all knuckle dragging neanderthals all the time.

4. Too bad. He'd make a great addition to AAR, if even |
for a short daily commentary/editorial.

6. Yeah, I like Grodin too. He was a regular guest on Johnny Carson's show |
and had his own talk show for a very short time. I haven't seen him on TV in AGES, but I usually don't watch corporate media. We could really use his voice right now. We need all the LIBERAL voices we can get. Then again, the Corporate media probably won't let him on the air since he's a SMART Liberal.

7. I liked him a lot. Probably taken off air for being too "Jack Paar". |
You know, urbane, witty, erudite, used big words . . . MSNBC couldn't get a big share with that nonsense.

8. If you like Grodin, check out his book.... |
"It Would Be So Nice If You Weren't Here."
I hadn't been aware he was the producer of the notorious Simon & Garfunkle special on CBS in the 60s....
