WMD was your ticket to take over Iraq. Your intelligence people would not go along with your claims about Iraqi WMD.

You invade Iraq anyway. Then comes your intelligence people publicly claiming that you were wrong to use WMD as a reason for the invasion.

What do you do?

You set out to destroy those intelligence people and their network.

Make no mistake: The CIA's WMD containment and control operation has been severely compromised. That is the real scandal.

Components of WMD have been stored in Saudi Arabia, Karl is used as the trigger to start the ball rolling with some sensational diversionary tactic, The CIA (GH's organization) has their ass covered because a key component of the monitoring network is removed, WMD moved to IRAQ, aWol stands on top of the newly arrived barrels and says 'told ya so' and all is forgiven/pardoned...

7. The Coverup is ongoing.

A coverup has been ongoing for two months already. This situation hinges on whether or not other operatives, and their contacts, were put 'Out of business'. The problem is that the names and locations of these other operatives who were working with Ms. Plame, are, by their very nature, kept secret.

The CIA is the only agency who can detail the effects of this scandal. Maybe they have the proof of other agents who have been put 'Out of business', and that fact is what has driven them to go this far?
