Things are getting so bad I fear
the gang may do something drastic to divert attention. So I think I'll stay away from Mass Transit, Airports, Post Offices, Patrick Leahy's office. What do ya think?

The Iraqification of Iran is in high gear.

3. Fortunately I live in the sticks...
During 9/11 I was in DC. Mail came from the same Dulles postal facility that was anthraxed... Worked 2 mins from Dulles in a high security (high target) office...

I now live in a red state (blech) in a place so small our mail comes from the only small city near us, but it isn't even the town we're officially in!

Loving it... cowardly? Probably. Sorry...

6. He's a lame duck.
He's not getting re-elected, so they're going to try and pin as much shit as they can to him and not their hopeful successor. It's the latter that I'm concerned about.

11. "Lame duck"? Only if an incident does not take place that will allow....
...Herr Busch to declare martial law and declare himself President-for-Life.

Think about it. These people will stop at nothing to stay in control.

16. He doesn't have the support he would need.
He knows it, he just doesn't want us to think so. It's far more likely that they will try to pin all the bad on G.W. and hope it all goes down the drain with him. "See? Everything's better again with our squeaky-clean new republican candidate-elect."

7. Don't buy it. The thugs are too incompetant to pull it off.
Not that they're in the least worried about the morality of it but, other than in the movies, they're bunglers of monumental proportions. Want proof? Take a look at the supposed cakewalk in Iraq. The world's mightiest military and largest economy can't even control a wrecked 3rd world country.

10. You offer Iraq as proof that they...
can't pull off a catastrophic success?

12. So, does that mean you actually believe 911 was planned and....
...executed solely by OBL and Al Qaeda?

8. They'll go nuclear this time
Addicts need stronger and stronger fixes. Those addicted to the "terrorists will strike our soil meme" will be disappointed if it's anything less spectacular than 9/11.

Remember - "motive, opportunity, means".

Junior's awfully attached to that 'ranch' of his. That would stay safe, I'm sure. Well, fairly sure.

17. Historically, the Nazis really got crazy as the end
closed in on them. I think we should expect a lot of the same. Brace yourself.
