I *want* to believe that Bush obscenity story. But is there a 2nd source?
Capitol Hill Blue can be a fun read, but just how realiable are they? It certainly makes sense that Bush feels trapped, having gone off to his Crawford hermitage and now finds out that there's no vacation from his reckless wasting of thousands of American and Iraqi lives in pursuit of his own personal glory and a few extra dollars for Halliburton and Chevron.

I know he's a crude man. I really want to believe this story about him snarling things like "tell those VFW assholes that I値l never speak to them again {if} they can稚 keep their members under control" and "I知 the President and I値l do whatever I goddamned please" and "I知 not meeting again with that goddamned bitch. She can go to hell as far as I知 concerned!"

("again"?)

But Capitol Hill Blue, a Scroogian conservative outfit of outsiders, funded by Doug Thompson's Save America Foundation, ran the last Bush-cracking-under-the-strain story, which never panned out into anything and which no one else ever picked up on. Is there any other source beside CHB's alleged "Bush administration aides" who "confide" these seamy revelations to CHB and CHB alone?

This story confirms my prejudices, but I don't trust prejudices. I'd like to see this story get out there more, but only if it's something beside a mean rumor churned up by a diaffected, antisocial Reaganite like Thompson. What else do we know about the president's current mental state? I know big media isn't going to come straight out and say things directly, but stuff still gets out. Is anyone else reporting something that can tangentially verify this story about Bush's tantrum and short fuse?

1. Believe what you see
He goes out of his way to avoid dissenters. He has nothing but contempt for the American people that do not fund his presidential campaign. He probably even has an axe to grind with some of them. His rudeness and crudeness in ignoring Cindy to her face, yet cowardly addressing an issue, she's not even raising, in her absence is outrageous. We heard many times before that he uses profanity and thinks he can do anything he wants because he's president. Oh yeah! That's right. He is doing anything he wants because he's president. Believe the article or not for the little details, but the big ones are out in the open for us to see.

7. How would I feel? If I were a sociopath!
In other words, yes, if I were under that kind of strain, I would be melting.

But shrub is a sociopath or psychopath. He really does believe that god has talked to him and he is god's instrument and everyone else is wrong.

He doesn't care about death and destruction -- he likes it. Remember his attitude toward executing people in Texas?

So I don't think he feels under pressure at all, unless he were to actually talk to someone who disagrees with him.

BTW, I don't believe a word of CHB.

There are four (4) different subtypes of psychopaths. The oldest distinction was made by Cleckley back in 1941 between primary and secondary. However, we'll explore the other two subtypes first:

DISTEMPERED PSYCHOPATHS are the kind that seem to fly into a rage or frenzy more easily and more often than other subtypes. Their frenzy will resemble an epileptic fit. They are also usually men with incredibly strong sex drives, capable of astonishing feats of sexual energy, and seemingly obsessed by sexual urges during a large part of their waking lives. Powerful cravings also seem to characterize them, as in drug addiction, kleptomania, pedophilia, any illicit or illegal indulgence. They like the endorphin "high" or "rush" off of excitement and risk-taking. The serial-rapist-murderer known as the Boston Strangler was such a psychopath.

except the sex part. He apparently can't get it on with "dime bag" Laura, which is why she is so zonked out on drugs.

15. Not to mention where he called a journalist a major league asshole
when he thought the mic. was off. He disrespects the WH press by giving them insulting nicknames and tell reporters that they have faces for radio. He's an insulting little worm with self esteem problems so yes I can believe he goes off behind the scenes. He mocked Karla Faye Tucker who was on death row and he said "Fuck Saddam, we're taking him out." He pumped his fist in the air saying "It feels good" just before going on National TV to announce his plans to shock and awe the crap out of Baghdad. Mean spirited little worm!

Sensationalistic story with no evidence.

Since it's Doug Thompson's website, he doesn't have to prove to editors that his anonymous sources exist.

9. I have no trouble imagining Bush behaving that way in private.
Most of us who have lived long-enough have seen both the private and public persona of people of the Bush type. They are basically spoiled brats who have never been forced to take responsibility for themselves nor developed the courage to do so.

Ron Suskind reported Bush said this saying this early in 2002.

12. It's Consistent with His Personality
but that doesn't mean that the story is based on an accurate report from eyewitnesses. The same type of stories were circulated about Bill Clinton. In one of them, for example, he was quoted as yelling to his aides "Get that bitch out of here!", referring to Hillary.

16. No, there's no corroboration
There never is with CHB. It's fiction.

His stories are consistent with what we can see of Dubya's repressed impulses, but they're still fantasies, best snickered over and left alone.

The one time Thompson went on record with a named "inside" source for an explosive story about Bush, he publicly stepped on his dick and made a shitload of web publications look stupid. Look up "Terrance Wilkinson." He's a purveyor of junk, looking to boost traffic to his website.
