What Crawford pro-Bush locals are saying about Camp Casey
Camp Casey growing because of support from across the country

The Sheehan camp has been collecting money from across the world and has gotten quite sophisticated with their new tents, bathroom facilities, air conditioned trailers, shuttle service, PR firm, lawyers and catered meals.

The Crawford Peace House alone has collected well over $150,000 and there is no telling how much Sheehan's website among other groups have collected. Mary Duty, owner of a pizza restaurant in Waco told me Sunday that they are getting phone calls every day from people across the country each ordering $50-100 worth of food to be delivered to the protesters. Mary's son has also printed over 1000 T-shirts that the anti-ear protesters are selling to raise funds for the camp.

SUPPORT FOR CAMP REALITY

A kind rancher next to the Sheehan camp has offered us use of his land for parking and for a close place for us to put together and distribute the 500 SUPPORT OUR TROOPS and IM4W signs which were donated by Grassfire and being delivered this week.

Not one person in Central Texas that I asked for help with our prayer vigil and rally last Friday declined. Some even offered more of themselves than I had asked for. Volunteers are anxious to do more to show support.

This website has been receiving e-mails from across the country in support of our President and his message that we should stay the course.

It looks like the Sheehan camp is here to stay, so we need to get organized too.

4. A telling symbolic gesture
The Republicans oppose the memorial for our fallen sons and daughters, and choose a man over the nation.

It looks like stagecrafting at work. Can't have images shown on the MSM, that are void of pro Bush propaganda. :eyes:

14. That's right! Camp Casey does have a LOT of supporters!

I'm glad they see it this way. We are not just a few, poor, deprived losers they like to make us out to be. We may not have big corp backing, but we CAN fundraise. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

16. "catered meals"...While I haven't been there, I know people need to eat
and sandwiches, potato/macaroni salad beans, and weanies aren't exactly fare that soem bushites would pay $1000 a plate for, I have no problem whatsoever with what they eat down there. If it is Sirloin Tips and Lobster, or MRE's it makes little difference to me. As lonmg as they can keep up the pressure and stay on message, I'm behind them. If I could get away, I'd be there as well, but the distance is just too great, and I have geriatric patients I need to take care of.

These people who are squawking about this need to get a life...:)

28. Ice machines start around $1500
http://shop.efriedman.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=202

They'd need the right electrical and the room at the Crawford House to accomodate one. I doubt one ice machine could keep up with the demand though it would help!
