My nightmare
I don't want to be depressing, but sometimes it's hard not to be.
Bush is dropping in the polls, but the rest of the neocon religiofascists aren't. A lot of them are still backing Bush, but as it becomes obvious that he will go down, they'll drop him like a hot potato. So here's the problem: if Bush ends up as fall guy for all the problems the fascists cause, they'll still walk away claiming that their ideas are sound and it was Bush who messed things up. The rubes will still buy into it, and they'll back whoever the next empty suit is that the Retardican party puts up. The cycle repeats, and things get worse still. Those that now have the power will only give it up by being forced out. The end result is-THEY WON'T GO AWAY UNTIL THE COUNTRY IS DESTROYED.
Does this scare anyone else? How do we fight this?

2. I've actually addressed this very issue
several times.

We have to reach out for the rank and file Republicans, the ones who are most harmed by the policies they are fielding. We need to effectively counter the propoganda from the pundits and offer simple, saleable solutions to the problems facing America.

We need to make it obvious that it's their voodoo economics that aren't working, not just the policies of this administration. The congress-critters can't be let off the hook...they backed this whole plan until it became obvious the people weren't buying it--the whole thing is unworkable.

We need strong, fearless leaders (Paul Hackett, Howard Dean, Barbara Boxer, John Conyers, Nancy Pelosi) who aren't afraid to speak the truth and take fire for it. The media needs to be spanked...hard! and it needs to be explained that their failure to do their job is partly responsible for the situation we're in.

A free press is only useful if it's tenacious. If it's fearful, for whatever reason, it cannot stand for the people. Then its only purpose is to stand for itself...and that's not right.

4. And that's our biggest obstacle
We have a corporate press, not a free one. MSM is a propaganda organ of the military-industrial-pharmaceutical industry. THAT has to be changed.

5. I think all this is probably
the beginning of that. Blogs, DU, and Air America, as well as, perhaps, Gore's new TV station.

We need a cable channel.

6. wwhat scares me more is what BushCo will do when . . .
backed into a corner . . . and they're getting there fast . . . these people are capable of ANYTHING, including the use of nuclear weapons . . . when they lose enough support to actually threaten their incumbency, the gloves will come off and anything goes . . . don't be surprised if there is another domestic attack and/or if Iran is attacked -- possibly with tactical nukes . . .

these are very scary people who have no business running the most powerful military in the world . . .

hell, they have no business running a local school board! . . .

7. Exactly
I know we're not supposed to make this comparison, but look how it ended with Nazi Germany. The country was demolished in order to get rid of them.
I'm not saying that this is Nazi Germany-I'm saying that the people who are power-mad and believe themselves superior will never let go without being completely destroyed.

8. it is the religion and they hypocrisy. we have to get the people
to see, they are endorsing, lying of our officials. they are endorsing stealing votes. they are endorsing corruption. they are endorsing, creating hate amongst fellow man, brothers and sisters. it is endorsing that we the people here in u.s. are so superior we warrant murdering innocents in other nations to meet our needs. it is religions that have decided their laws need to rule us.

if we cant get people to wake up to this, then you are right, doesnt matter if bush goes down.
