Poll question: If Your Candidate Is Losing How Long Should They Stay In The Race?
This applies to supporters of ANY candidate, whether it be Kucinich or Kerry or Sharpton or Edwards.

If it becomes clear that they're not going to win the nomination, how long should they be in the race?

2. Good question...
I think that with the success of some late peaking candidates in recent elections, some of these guys will stick it out a lot longer than is probably good for them or the party. I think that it is completely circumstantial, and there really is no set rule. There are some candidates who (and I won't name them, because I don't want to start a flame fest) who have seen no movement in poll numbers (or consistent movement in the wrong direction) and poor progress in both endorsements and in fundraising, and should therefore see the writing on the wall and drop out now. But that is just MHO.
