This is really weird (just pulled it off of CPH website)--verify?
About 3 weeks ago was surfing some of the sites I enjoy posting on, when someone posted in all caps that they had just heard from an officer friend in the military that all leaves had been cancelled for the month of September. Obviously aware of the false flags our government is famous for, this person sounded desperate, asking for help in confirming or denying this "rumor" from anyone who had connections in the military. I happened to ask a co-worker friend of mine whose son in-law is in the Army (82nd) about checking out the "rumor". Well guess what, they've had to move up their leave to this coming week to come home because his unit has to be back by September 7th. where upon all leaves are cancelled! They have seen a steady build up of heavy materials just sitting in storage facilities. He also commented that they were rushed through a training course on new weapons systems they just rolled out. He thought this very odd and a first. This sent shivers all through me. Not to push any panic buttons I spoke with a dear woman with whom I work whose son is in the Army in an artillery unit. She is a former Captain, her husband is a former Colonel and Vietnam vet and successful attorney here in our area who also happens to be dying from the effects of Agent Orange. Lo and behold their son was told all leaves are cancelled for September and in December they may get leave, but can travel no further than 17 kilometers from their base. My niece is married to a young man in the Army stationed on the East Coast he is also 82nd, his leave has also been cancelled. Their first baby is due in December. Leland, I'm not prone to fits of paranoia but I have to tell you, I have begun stocking water and canned goods. I am ex Air Force, I was on three ring standby most of my enlistment and was in a constant training mode. I know how this works and it doesn't sound good. The draft board offices are in place with staff waiting for the word to go. I read an article from a guy who works in one of those offices, he said Homeland Security came in there early last month and put up bullet proof glass on the windows and iron bars, they installed blast proof glass on the doors, and removed the mail drop box slots on the outside of the building. When he asked what was going on they identified themselves as Homeland Security and said don't worry about the rest and left. It's coming no doubt about it. Sorry I can't be more positive, but this is what I have heard with my own ears from three independent military member
sources in different parts of the country.

1. not a good sign
Maybe bush has been spending August being drilled in what he is supposed to say, how he is supposed to act (surprised/presidential, etc....)

Stocking up might not be a bad idea. I don't trust these f@ckers for sh*t....... and I usually don't talk that way....

They truly scare me.

6. We have the entire month of September for leave
Edited on Sat Aug-27-05 06:02 PM by Solly Mack
We take off on the 28th (tomorrow) and don't come back until October.

My friend in the states goes on block leave (meaning the entire company goes) at the end of September until the end of November.

So while some units may have had leave cancelled due to pending deployments, as does happen quite often, it's not wide spread.

43. Here's the only info I found on leave being canceled .....
Edited on Sun Aug-28-05 11:16 AM by doublethink
but the article doesn't state where the author got the information? And it focused on South America ....

All US military leave has been canceled ... something big is in the works!

THE INTERNATIONAL FORECASTER editor Bob Chapman writes: The US military is building a new base and conducting secretive operations in Paraguay ... our Embassy there refuses to acknowledge a base exists and describes the military activity as routine.

The base is in Mariscal Estigarribia, 200 km (127 miles) from the Bolivian border and will handle large aircraft and accommodate 16,000 troops.

There are now 500 of our troops there with planes, weapons, equipment and ammunition. Either before, during, or after the coming presidential election we expect the US to intervene or better put, invade Bolivia to control its natural gas reserves. -snip-

All military leaves for September and October have been cancelled ... something big is in the works ... there is a buildup of material and equipment ... personnel at draft board offices are waiting for the word to activate. -snip-

9. How many times have they canceled leaves in the last five years?
That would indicate how serious this is. Maybe they are expecting something, maybe they are just testing how it would be to have to respond very quickly to serious, coordinated terrorist attacks. Maybe they think we will be attacked; maybe they are planning to go on the offensive again. In spite of all the rumors about attacking Iran, I am skeptical because I haven't heard enough of a drum roll to justify going in there. Bush and friends are losing support for their Iraq action. Going into Iran without having first acquired a lot of public support would be disastrous. Maybe this has something to do with the finalization of the Iraqi Constitution. Maybe they expect trouble. Maybe they expect trouble as a result of having released all the Sunni prisoners today.

The bit about the bulletproofing of the draft board station is not meaningful. They are doing the same thing to post offices and other public buildings in L.A. That's pretty routine.

The only indication that I can see that we might have a terrorist attack is the fact that Bush's numbers are down and a demonstration is planned in D.C. on 09/24. The numbers were down right before 9/11 and that was also the date or close to the date that the newspapers were supposed to announce the results of their recount of the votes in the Florida 2000 election -- which showed Gore won. Then of course there were the terrorist attacks in London which (mercifully?) just happened to occur fairly soon after Blair's party was embarrassed in elections. If there is another terrorist attack in the next months, I'm going to seriously wonder what is going on.

by referendum on the new Iraqi Constitution in October, is likely the reason for cancelled or rescheduled leaves for some units. I have heard DOD will be increasing US troop levels in Iraq by some 10,000 soldiers during this period.

17. Unidentified “spy drone” crashes in western Iran
Sat. 27 Aug 2005

Iran Focus

Tehran, Iran, Aug. 27 - An unmanned plane crashed after hitting a mountain in western Iran, according to government officials in the Iranian capital.

The plane crashed in the Alashtar Mountains in Lorestan Province, Ali-Asghar Ahmadi, the Deputy Minister of the Interior for security affairs, told reporters on Saturday.

“We have received a report about an unmanned plane crashing into the mountains in this region”, Ahmadi said, without any further elaboration.

Ahmadi did not identify the origin of the drone or its intended mission, diverting questions to the Ministry of Intelligence and Security and the Supreme National Security Council.

Officials in the two security agencies were not available for comment, but an official in the governor’s office in Lorestan Province, contacted by telephone, said the Revolutionary Guards units had secured the site of the crash where “the spy drone hit a mountain”.

36. They (the White House) left the door open
Under Clinton at least three military exercises were performed to develop an appropriate military response to prevent events like 9/11.

In two of these exercises the twin towers were actually simulated targets. I'm pretty sure the first exercise in the mid 90's was a total fiasco. Nothing was integrated between the FAA and military components of the exercise. Supposedly, it was a mess. But they worked on the scenario at least two more times and left in place (for the incoming administration) a response team that coud react to such a threat in 10 minutes.

Also, anti-aircraft artillery weapons were installed atop the Pentagon by Clinton to respond to threats of highjackings during the Atlanta Olympics. (was that in 1996?) I don't know where, but it has been reported that the AAA pieces were not ever removed during Clinton's watch.

Very scary, but not clear that this is related to an Iran attack or other neocon plot. As I noted someplace else in this thread, here's the place to go to get the info and links on the Iran attack situation, which looks very scary indeed;

Thread title: All the pieces are on the board, folks....time to get worried.

That cancelled leave rumor is mentioned in the OP, and then later in the replies the poster says they checked around and could find no confirmation. I tried many google variations and found nothing either.

Lots of good reasons to be worried and publicize why the bugnuts Bush cabal needs to be stripped of the power to invade at their whim, but this leave cancelling does look like a rumor.

30. the scenario is directly from "The Longest Yard" . . .
which, I'm sure, Bush has watched many times . . .

after nailing an opponent in the crotch with a forward pass from about three feet, Burt Reynolds goes back to the huddle and says "if it worked once, it will work again" (or something like that) . . . then he calls the exact same play, with the exact same results . . .

my hunch is that BushCo is thinking "if it worked once, it will work again" . . .

I'm therefore expecting a domestic "terrorist" attack of major proportions sometime this fall . . . it will somehow be connected to Iran, which will then suffer the same fate at Iraq in the early days -- a constant barrage of "shock and awe" bombings of military installations, nuclear facilities, and cities . . .

if it worked once, it will work again . . . or will it? . . .

35. Here might be some useful info on all this (well some)
The Air Force has enacted 'stop loss' for the next 30 days (but with
enough loopholes so that anybody they want to get rid of or anybody
who really wants out can be separated).

The Navy has announced 'stop loss' for a few specific MOSs.

There is no 'mass' cancellation of leave. (Specific units have
canceled leave.)

If an announcement is made that leave is canceled you should report to
your new duty station. (If unable to get to your new duty station
_call_ (do not go to) a local military installation to request
transportation assistance.)

http://groups.google.com/group/us.military.army/browse_thread/thread/13fef004231ff3/5339fee7b1a99e02?lnk=st&q=military+leave+canceled&rnum=2&hl=en#5339fee7b1a99e02

Not sure how reliable the info is there, but worth a look.

40. Since they have been planning an Iran attack, we shouldn't be surprised
In the months before Iraq, the press drummed up support for the war in spite of 70% of Americans opposing the idea. They had to start a PR offensive to prepare us for shock and awe.

Seems as if they have been doing this to Iran for months. We are being prepped for a plan that is already in the works whether we agree or not.

This is probably when they plan to invade.

41. Right now it looks like the increase is for the
referendum on the Iraq constitution in October and the voting to take place in December, which would be logical. They're concerned about a Sunni uprising and civil war (which I thought was already going on).

Let's not get worried until it's time. However, considering the volatility of this admministration it would be a good idea to be stocked for emergencies.

42. I heard about this a little while ago
There is a lot of fishy things going on indeed and very scary. I don't trust this government at all and wouldn't put anything past them. Something is up for sure and they are blood thirsty and oil thirsty for Iran and probably Syria. They tried to go there but it didn't work and they could do it again I'm sure. I heard about this rumor but it seems more confirmed I think. I remember a while back there were "rumors" of the Pentagon going to pull out troops in 2006 but the Pentagon for a good while denied it and a few weeks ago on CNN's scroll I read on a Sunday that they were planning it. (flip-flop) And then earlier this month on Malloy's show there was someone who told of a rumor to gas NYC. :\ And remember entering Iraq and the war build up happened in sync with the 2002 midterms. So they do have plans for 2006.
