Great letter (not mine!): The Bush II brain is in perfect shape
The Bush II brain is in perfect shape

Those who claim that Karl Rove is Bush II's brain are mistaken. He has a perfect brain in its original container. It was undamaged when he was the only person to fall off a Segway a few years ago on a White House sidewalk, or recently on a biking trip to Scotland, where he ran into a local policeman also on a bicycle.

The Bush II brain was preserved in alcohol for some 20 years and escaped wear and tear caused by having to make decisions, which were always made for him. It never suffered emotional stress about problems because they were never brought to his attention. He read neither books nor newspapers that could cause thinking.

He never spent a sleepless night over meeting a payroll as a business owner or how to pay his children's education or faced being laid off.

Texas energy friends made him an officer of Harken Energy Corp., where his position gave him inside information of its financial difficulties and he dumped some $800,000 worth of stock just before it slid. He did not make timely financial disclosure to the SEC and changed his story three times before stating, "I still haven't figured it out completely." This is probably true. His daddy was then President Bush.

With synapses gleaming like polished chrome the Bush II brain is in pristine condition.

JOSEPH R. GRANT

1. It IS a great letter
Thanks for posting it. Great tongue -in-cheek humor for me to end the day with, or is that "with which to end the day."? Would Karl Rove know, 'cause GW certainly would not.;>)
