I'm a divider, not an uniter

"Tosha Wells (L) walks with a white cross that represents her husband, who was killed serving in Iraq, after pulling it from the makeshift memorial set up along the roadside by anti-war demonstrators."

Even in death George W. Bush divides us.

Look at what he has done to us. American turning against American. Brother against brother, sister against sister.

Here is this woman with two small children removing her husband's cross in order to support her leader. What kind of leader is this that wants his people to do this for him?

In the meantime, Bush peddles around and Rove keeps stirring the pot. The M$M is in all out whoring mode. Their ultimate goal is to split the country in two and sit back and watch us all go at each other's throats. But this time the peace movement is older and wiser. We are not responding in the way they expected. We have taken them by surprise and have thrown them off their game. It truly is the beginning of the end and in a funny way George will have done what he promised. Just look at how many people are uniting against him. I just hope that someday Tosha comes back to return her husband's cross and join the side of peace.

3. hey if she doesn't mind supporting the man who murdered her husband...
Edited on Sun Aug-28-05 09:37 AM by Dem Agog
why should we get in the way of her foolishness?

these people worship a murderer, they're just sick. she either wanted her husband dead, or she's so stupid she's lucky she has a pulse. either way, if she wants to support her hubby's murderer, let her. even stupid widows have thir rights.

4. Bush/Rove/Cheney/Hughes/etc. .Gain from the Division but fail
at the hands of History, Reason, and Sanity.

They are reaping a terrible price for their lust to Fame/Fortune/Power.

Ghey have it all, fame and fortune...but what are they doing...look to the results....nothing positive...every thing negative....or so it seems...

9. Its' how they sold the war
See, I'm a military wife.. after 9/11 happened they (being America and BushCO sold their ideas of war like it was a calling.

They used simple patriotic words: Brave, freedom, sacrifice, democracy, they raised the flag over the wreckage of trade center. During the olympics, they carried the flag and displayed it. You almost felt proud to be part of that movement. To be part of the duty of this country. We didn't know just how clouded our judgment was by scene that was set.

The plot of the movie was set, the military was worshiped and lifted up. They felt supported and that America had their back.

What most families are now beginning to see: underfunded VA hospitals, Post traumatic Stress Disorder, Lack of proper equipment. Lack of safety for our troops. We are now in a endless war, your only way out is death or a loss limb. They know now the reason we went to Iraq was bullshit. There is no WMD except maybe those who started it, Bush INC.

They tried a new tactic Democracy is on the march, except that is no longer the case. More like Democracy is on hiatus during the civil war. This movie plot was filled with holes from the get go.

It becomes harder and harder to stand by this war. Yet in the defense of military spouses still clinging to ideas set forth by this administration. It's a brainwash they haven't quite shaken yet. They still cling to 9/11 drape it around them without they feel vulnerable.
Their spouses come home then all they want to do is go back or they feel guilty that they are home. It's boot camp brainwash tactics 101. "never leave a man behind." Other such behavior that instills such undying loyalty to one another. You need that in a time of war.
Some just haven't figured out yet, this fight isn't about liberation, it's about domination. Our troops, our loved ones have been played like a fiddle.

I see that woman walking away with her husbands cross. I don't begrudge her, I understand how much more painful it is to know the truth. I know the lies are easier to swallow. I know it's nice to hear, "your husband serves his country.. god bless you for your sacrifice." So much easier to hear then "The life of your husband never had to happen. You were lied to. If you dare speak out about it, we will call you unpatriotic and say your sacrifice no longer matters." I don't begrudge her swallowing the blue pill.

10. Yes, that is why that picture is so sad
But what happens to this your girl when she wakes up and she's got no husband, no father for her boys and not much of anything else and she realizes how on her own she really is and that Bush could care less about her husband's sacrific. You can see in her faces shes got a very tough road ahead of her. I just hope she wakes up before he takes her children.

11. that's when she comes to us
Broken, sad, defeated.. we carry her for awhile until her own feet can stand.

I still believe there is beauty and compassion in people, Duers prove that to me again and again.

14. Yes, * is a divider and he has been VERY successful at it.
I really don't see it getting any better either because of the extent that the rethugs have been brainwashed.

I feel sad that these kids in the photo will be raised in that atmosphere and one day sacrificed themselves....
