Man, the anti war movement sure is host to a "big tent" crowd. WE ain't just hippies and pacifists no mo!

1. I don't think you could call Phelps' crew "anti-war."

They'd be all over it if the US government started systematically hunting down and killing every GLBTQ in America.

I realize you're probably just being sarcastic inlcuding Phelps in with us, but that group is so looney even The 700 Club and Focus on the Family distance themselves from Westboro Baptist.

3. no, really. There are lots of right wing hate groups that

oppose gulf war II. I was reading the "nazi watch" link page at www.pieman.org and I came across some Aryan / klan forums that discussed the war and how the USA is only fighting for Israel. There is a whole other, evil, anti war movement.

For the record, I dislike the Westboro Baptist. To a lesser extent, I dislike the 700 Club. I'm not familiar with "focus on the family", but I bet they suck as well.

That's James Dobson's RW Xian group based in Colorado Springs. That's who chimpy visits first when he's in the Springs--before he visits anyone at Fort Carson, Cheyenne Mountain, or the Air Force Academy. Very powerful organization.

4. Phelps came to New Paltz, NY to protest

Those poor, hateful people came all this way to be "grossed out" and disappointed that counter protesters didn't scream at them, but rather they were having same sex make out sessions to protest Phelps.
